What is Somatic Coaching?
Somatics is a field of study of the mind-body connection. It is an umbrella term encompassing modalities of healing that emphasize the need for working with sensation, movement and internal sensory patterns for overall well-being and wholeness. These modalities are tools for accessing and releasing unresolved experiences from a safe and resourced place so that individuals have more capacity to embody the felt sense of Life Force, Joy, Connection and Aliveness.
I incorporate the three modalities listed below.

Somatic Experiencing
Developed by Peter Levine, Somatic Experiencing uses gentle, paced somatic resourcing techniques to help clients regulate their stress responses, release stored trauma, and regain a sense of grounding and presence. This "bottom-up" approach emphasizes embodied awareness to process and integrate traumatic experiences.

Hakomi Method
Developed by Ron Kurtzhe, Hakomi Method is a mindfulness-based psychotherapeutic approach that uses somatic techniques to foster self-awareness and emotional healing by exploring how beliefs and emotions are held in the body. It is guided by the principles of Unity, Mind-Body Holism, Organicity, Mindfulness, and Nonviolence

Neuroaffective Touch
Developed by Dr. Aline LaPierre, NeuroAffective Touch is a professional psychobiological approach that integrates the key elements of somatic psychotherapy, attachment and developmental theory, and affective and interpersonal neurobiology. Through offering direct communication and support to the body at the nonverbal level, where we all receive our first imprints, NeuroAffective Touch treats lifelong emotional traumas to reconnect us to the wholeness of our relational matrix.
